FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW CAN I WORK WITH YOU?

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO SIGN UP FOR YOGA?
You are welcome to try your first class for free. Just let me know you are coming, and I'll greet you at the class. After your first class, you have 2 options - purchase a 10 class pass for $140 - or - pay the drop in rate of $18 for each class when you come. The 10 class pass is the better value, and you have 6 full months to use your pass.
I'VE NEVER BEEN FLEXIBLE, HOW CAN YOGA HELP ME?
No matter what level of flexibility you have, yoga can help improve your range of motion and flexibility.
ISN'T YOGA A RELIGION?
Yoga is not a religion, it is a set of breathing, and movements that can lead to spiritual insight, Yoga in no way diminishes any other spiritual practice. In my experience as a Christian, it has brought me closer to God.
I'M NOT ABLE TO SIT CROSS LEGGED ON THE FLOOR, HOW CAN I DO YOGA?
I encourage students with tight hip flexors to bring a cushion to sit on. We can also modify sitting positions to be more comfortable. You could also sit in a chair for part of the class. With any yoga posture, modifications are key to honoring your body, discovering limitations, and overcoming resistances.
WHAT IS A YOGA CLASS LIKE?
There are 4 parts to my yoga classes: centering and breathing, spinal warm up, a posture sequence, and relaxation. Every class has a theme, and the sequences are built around that theme. Students can offer up their aches and injuries to be included in the class, and modifications are made as needed.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND TO YOGA?
Absolutely! Invite a friend along and they will receive their class for free -- AND --- you will get a free class for bringing them!
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME? Bring a yoga mat, a beach towel or blanket, water, and a strap or tie to assist with stretches. You may also want to bring a blanket to cover up with during relaxation, blocks, or cushion.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR YOGA? Dress in comfortable clothes that stretch. We practice barefoot. I recommend having socks and a sweater or additional layer as you may get cool during the relaxation and want to add a layer - or warm up during the workout and want to cool down. T-shirt and leggings are great for women, men like t-shirt and shorts or sweats.
